How We Put Together SiGMA & AIBC’s Dubai Event

When it comes to tailor-made services and absolute dedication to the craft, few do things quite like us at Turnkey Expos. So, being charged as general contractors for SiGMA and AIBC’s Asia Event was a match made in heaven as far as we’re concerned. Our commitment and diligence for each task mean that no event is out of reach for us, including the Intercontinental Festival Arena in Festival City, Dubai.

What it entailed

As we do for all conferences and events we’re part of, including the four times in the past months in Dubai where our production houses are located, we conducted a site visit two months before the start date to inspect the venue to determine precisely how to deliver the best possible setting. Our status as general contractors meant all branding for the show organisers was in our hands, along with all 85 package stands, 16 custom stands, four stages and speaker schedule. That includes the design, building, printing, furniture installation and any electrical needs for each stand and stage as required.

How did we pull it off, you ask? The design and sales were done through our Malta office, with the production and AV handled via our local Dubai production houses. Day One’s primary objective in these cases is to have all flooring laid down, structures put up, and electrical wiring passed through, with Day Two allocated for graphics installation and general finishing. Then, the night before the event launches, any remaining finishing touches are applied. Once the event finished, it took an additional day for dismantling, allowing us to look back on a job well done and use the experience to fuel our thirst for more events on a similar scale, no matter the location.
